How Much Does Junk Removal Cost in Edmonton?

How We Price Our Jobs
Every job is priced on two things: volume (how much space your junk takes in the truck) and time (how long the job takes to complete).
The easier we can load — the better the price. If we can back the truck right up to a pile and move quickly, you stay at the low end of the range. If the job involves stairs, elevators, long carry distances, heavy items, or dismantling furniture to get it through a doorway — that adds time, and time affects the final cost.
We’ll always tell you the price before we start. Not after.
Small Pickup Pricing & Load Size Pricing
Just a few bags? A single item? Our small pickup rate starts at $75 for up to 7 bags. Most small pickups are done in 5 minutes or faster!
For larger volumes, we price by truck load. These rates apply when we can back the truck up to the load and items are reasonably easy to access the junk and truck, otherwise load time will lead to extra cost:

These are per-load rates. If the job fills more than one load, each is priced separately. GST is added to all invoices.

Mattresses & Box Springs
- First piece: starting at $100 (price varies by size — use our mattress calculator for your exact rate)
- Each additional piece: $75
Couches & Sofas
- 1 piece: $150
- 2 pieces: $175
- 3 pieces: $250
- 4 pieces: $325
Hide-a-Beds
- Starting at $175; each additional $125
- Rate increases if we need to remove doors or dismantle the frame to get it out
Fridges & Freezers
- Outside and ready to go: $48, each additional $25
- Inside the home: starts at $100, each additional $40
- All fridges and freezers require refrigerant removal before disposal — this is an additional fee of approximately $300 which we can arrange. Large old chest freezers sometimes need to be cut apart on-site and require a quote.
Washers, Dryers & Standard Appliances
- Outside: $48 each, additional $25
- Inside: $100 each, additional $40
TVs
- Old tube TVs (heavy, two-person job): $125
- Flat screen TVs (light, one person): $75
What Affects Your Price
Here’s the honest list of things that can move your cost up:
Access and carry distance — Stairs, elevators, underground parkades, and long walks to the truck all add time. A job that takes 15 minutes at the curb can take an hour inside a building. We account for this.
Heavy or awkward items — Hide-a-beds, tube TVs, and full chest freezers are two-person lifts. They slow things down and are hard on the body.
Dismantling — If a couch or appliance won’t fit through a doorway and needs to be broken apart to remove it, we factor that into the price.
Bed bug or pest-infested items — We remove bed bug-infested furniture — it’s one of our specialties. But it requires single-use PPE and specific safety handling. This adds to the cost. If you’re dealing with this situation, read about our bed bug removal service here.

Large Jobs, Estate Cleanouts & Special Situations
Some jobs need more than a quick look at a photo. For estate cleanouts, abandoned rental contents, hoarding situations, demolitions (sheds, hot tubs, decks), and large commercial cleanouts — we do on-site visits.
The reason is simple: these jobs have variables that affect safety, crew size, equipment needed, and time. Getting the scope right upfront means no surprises on job day for either of us.
How to start: Fill out our quote form and include photos and details. Most of the time that’s enough to get you a solid number. For larger or more complex jobs, we’ll follow up to arrange a free site visit.

What don’t you take?

How long does a typical job take?
A single mattress pickup takes about 10 minutes. A full garage cleanout might take 1–2 hours. Estate cleanouts and larger jobs vary — that’s what site visits are for.
